How to Prevent Mould and Fungus in Your Clothes!

The growth of mould in your clothes can occur due to multiple reasons. It can be because you don’t dry your washed clothes for long, you leave your clothes in the bathroom without proper ventilation, or, your clothes are not completely dry when you store them.

To prevent fungus and mould from developing on your clothes, always dry them under direct sunlight before storing them in your cupboard.

1) Use Vinegar 

This versatile ingredient can help you prevent mould in your clothes. Make a solution by adding 1 cup of vinegar to a bucket of warm water. Soak your garments in the bucket for 20 minutes. Finally, wash the garments as you normally would.

2) Use Baking Soda and Vinegar

Another amazing way of keeping your clothes safe from fungus and mould is by combining baking soda and vinegar. Simply create a mixture comprising ½ a cup of baking soda and 1 cup of vinegar. Fill ½ a bucket with warm water and add the mixture to it. Now soak your garments in the bucket for 20 minutes and wash them like you normally would.

3) Use Lemon Juice and Salt

Lemon juice is another effective way of preventing mould in your clothes. Squeeze 2 lemons into a bowl, add 1 cup of salt to it and mix well. Now, fill ½ a bucket with lukewarm water, add the mixture to it, and soak your garments for 20 minutes. Then, wash your clothes using a mild detergent.
